Dr. Todd A. Adelson, D.O.
Dr. Todd Adelson, D.O., completed, with high honors, his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree at Michigan State University and received his Doctorate of
Osteopathic Medicine from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University. He then completed his internship at Botsford Hospital-Michigan State University followed by 3 years of ophthalmology residency training at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where he worked and trained alongside world-renowned ophthalmologists at the Will’s Eye Hospital. From there, Dr. Adelson went on to complete a prestigious advanced cataract and refractive surgery fellowship in affiliation with Michigan State University, where he was exposed to and participated in an extensive volume of refractive surgeries including LASIK.
Constantly working as an innovator in the field of ophthalmology, Dr. Adelson is bringing the latest eye research, developments and technologies to the practice. He has gone on to perform thousands of LASIK and cataract procedures and is known for his specialty and expertise in LASIK and cataract surgery.
Dr. Adelson strives to pass on this knowledge by performing lectures for residents and medical students at Michigan State University as well as Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition, he continues his participation in medical case studies and teaches local medical students and residents in both formal educational settings and clinical settings on a regular basis. Dr. Adelson has been names “The Compassionate Doctors Award” for 2010, 2011 and 2013.

Todd is an avid sports enthusiast for both college and professional sports. He’s a Michigan State Fan but has a soft spot for Michigan as well (at times.) He loves boating, traveling, good food and looking at real estate. His real passion in life is his family and 2 year old daughter, Tia. Being a Dad is his greatest accomplishment.
Dr. Howard Adelson and Dr. Todd Adelson have built their practice ensuring patients needs are always their top priority.
In December 2013, they branched out and partnered with a national laser vision correction company, LasikPlus. They now are able to offer custom and blade-less LASIK in the comfort of their Northville office, rather than sending patients across town to a surgery suite. This allows the staff to be a part of all pre operative and post operative care as well as the surgery itself. They invested in the best laser on the market to ensure results.
For senior eye health, they specialize in rapid recovery cataract surgery. For patients with significant astigmatism and cataracts, they use the latest intraocular lens implants, which allow for both distance and near vision without the need for glasses. Seniors having cataract surgery can now enjoy some of the same vision correction benefits produced by LASIK.
The Adelson’s have earned the reputation of the “Doctor’s Doctors” as they have performed laser vision correction on local physicians and their families. You can currently hear their advertisements on many local radio stations in metro Detroit.
